We are faced with another iPhone 5 release date rumor. But to be true can Apple comprehend the enormity of the delay?

Tech geeks are in huge anticipation for Apple’s next generation iPhone, most possibly an iPhone 5. The device is largely expected to come out of furnace this fall with several new features.
Apple has not rolled out a new smartphone in last 13 months. After its iPhone 4’s launch in June 2010, the Cupertino-based technology firm is now only rumored to uncover its iPhone 5 late this year.
However, Apple continues to be a strong player in world mobile market. The company surpassed the troubling Nokia and emerging Samsung in the second quarter to become the top seller of smartphones in the world. The company’s Q2 earning has also marked a significant gain with more than 100 percent rise thanks to iPhone 4’s huge sales.
It should be remembered that Apple attained the achievement with a single smartphone, i.e. iPhone 4, which was unveiled more than a year back. Samsung, Nokia and most other companies launched and marketed several devices during the period, but still were unable to surpass Apple.
The International Data Corporation (IDC) has specially mentioned Apple’s domination of the smartphone market with a single product in one of its recent studies. Of course, this is what makes Apple different from other technology makers. In place of several smartphones, Apple just needs a single product to attain domination in the global markets.
“Demand has been so strong that even models that have been out for one or two years are still being sought out.  With an expected refresh later this year, volumes are set to reach higher levels,” said Ramon Llamas of IDC.
The new iPhone 5 is much delayed, however. The company used to bring out a new version of iPhone in June, exactly speaking at its Worldwide Developer Conference.
But this time Apple never mentioned about iPhone 5 at the WWDC 2011. But rumormongers have predicted a new iPhone to come out this fall with even more amazing features.
