iPhone 5 to have a new antenna and aluminum back like first iPhone
iPhone 4, should be history within a short period of time. Lets concentrate on rumours of iPhone 5 that are already doing the rounds and the latest hint at significant upgrades, Economic News Daily states.
The fourth generation iPhone was released in June 2010.
The news website reported that Apple will get rid of the glass back in the fifth generation smartphone and replace it with the aluminum case. The first iPhone came with such a case.
This sounds like a good move, what with all the complaints about iPhones gathering a world of scratches in their lifetime on the glass back. Besides, the glass back gave no end of trouble to Apple when it tried to clone a white iPhone 4.
Buzz also mentions that Apple will be fixing the troublesome antenna once and for all in iPhone 5. The antenna will now be located behind the Apple logo and there will be no exposed thing poking out of the classy back.
It is also expected to come with the super-fast A5 chip, the one that is in iPad 2.
The sum of the rumour on the website was, “Decision to design similar to iPod Touch instead of using glass is supposed that Apple seems to stop problems which are told widely damages from scratching, difficulties of painting white and weight of glass and want to make it more durable instead. Antenna will be designed just behind Apple logo so that cellular and Wi-Fi signal can penetrate easily.
“We have no idea how much credence to put into the rumor (no specific source was given), but the big debate right now is whether the iPhone 5 will be more of an upgrade like the 3GS was or a fully redesigned product. Depending on the week, the winds seem to blow one way or another, but recent chatter seems to point to a more extensive redesign.”
