Download iOS 7 GM For iPhone, iPad And iPod touch
iOS 7 GM download links have just gone live on the Apple’s dev site. Those enrolled on the iOS Developer Program now have immediate access to what is essentially the finished iOS 7 build, and can start installing the firmware on their provisioned iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices through the usual well publicized download channels.
It should be common knowledge by now that the Gold Master version of Apple’s mobile firmware is always pretty much identical to the version of the software that will be rolled out to the public when the new iPhones start shipping. This particular variant of iOS 7 represents Apple’s last attempt at fixing any show-stopping bugs and issues that have been reported by beta-testing developers through the Bug Reporting mechanisms. It has also given the Cupertino based company the chance to apply any final polish to the dramatically revamped interface and fine tune the new animations.
As mentioned above, developers who are enrolled to build native iOS applications are able to get their hands on the Gold Master version right now. Download iOS 7 GM firmware file directly through the dedicated Member Center website using the registered Apple ID. Users with provisioned devices can then perform a manual device restore through iTunes to install the GM version of iOS 7 onto their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
For those who are currently on the last released beta of iOS 7, it won’t do any good to head over to the Software Update section of the Settings.app on device. As with previous years the Gold Master seed of this firmware refresh will not be offered as an over-the-air (OTA) update for existing beta users. It will therefore be necessary to grab the firmware file directly from the Member Center method above in preparation for a custom iTunes install.

The various beta releases of iOS 7 have not been available for all iOS powered devices in the wild and the same goes for the GM version. The iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 are the only smartphone devices compatible with the firmware. iOS 7 will also run on the second, third and fourth-generation iPad as well as the iPad mini and the fifth-generation iPod touch. Those with older hardware devices can expect to have some iOS 7 features missing such as Camera filters, Siri and AirDrop.
