There is no clear picture as yet about expected release date of Apple iPad 5, but Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray believes that it is set to arrive in April

Apple’s much anticipated products iPad 5 and iPad Mini are set to be released in the market as early as April. Apple seems to have realized that without introducing the next generation tablets in the market, Apple may not attract as many people to its products as it would have wished. Apple iPad 4’s demand hasn’t really picked due to the fact that it really didn’t offer anything new to consumers. So its adaptation level has been rather sluggish even among diehard Apple fans. As far as specifications improvement over its previous version is concerned, iPad 4 didn’t come with anything new, but was just launched to ensure that it was able to be connected with new Apple accessories.

Notwithstanding the fact that Apple’s iPad 4’s demand is still substantial as diehard fans are still going for it in droves, there are many fans who are dreaming to get a better tablet from Apple at the earliest. Many people have said that they are looking forward to a retina display in their small tablets. They are not at ease because many Android tablets with far cheaper price tags come with far better display than that of Apple’s iPad Mini. Meanwhile there are reasons to believe that the two are very close. In Taiwan and China a large number of accessories manufacturers are coming with numerous covers and other accessories and a few are already available on many websites including Alibaba.com. On the other hand there are several pictures of the purported fifth generation iPad that show a different look and feel of the tab from Cupertino based tech giant.

There are analysts who predict it to come very fast. Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray is one analyst who is most optimistic about the immediate release of the tablet(s) either in April. He believes that launching the products in the market will serve Apple the most as it has the potential to bring an end to Apple’s woes at the Wall Street. Gene Munster says, “We believe Apple could update the full-sized iPad to a body style similar to the iPad Mini. Additionally, we believe that the iPad Mini could get a Retina display, although that may happen later in the year given the supply constraints Apple faced on the Mini in the December quarter”.

There are more credible reports about the iPad 5 launch in near future. Areport from Forbes predicts the fifth generation Apple tab to land in store not in April but in June. Forbes quotes a manufacturer of iPad accessories MiniSuit and suggests that he is on the mark at least when it comes to the launch of iPad 5. The Forbes report says, “If the June release is accurate, it would be Apple’s third iPad upgrade in less than 18 months. The company surprised the world last fall when it released a slightly improved full-size iPad alongside the newly designed iPad Mini. That upgrade arrived seven months after the third-generation model”. Things are really very exciting for Apple fans, though for Apple there is a fight going on for survival and dominance of the smart-phone and tablet market.
